Before I became a physician, I graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Psychobiology. This is my blog/poetry journal that I started back in college.
When I was in 2nd Grade, I didn't get hooked on phonics. I got hooked on poetry and have been writing poems ever since then. I've given poetry readings at the Newcastle Literary Salon in northeast England, as well as at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles after winning the May Merrill Miller Award for poetry in 2014.
I'm also the composer and lyricist of an original musical called The Author: A Novel Musical.

The blog title is a marriage of my two main passions of study: creative writing and mental health. What can I say? Consonance got the best of me.
